Your Farm
Your Plan
Your Future
The Farm Business Resilience Program Tasmania gives you the chance to step back, look at how your business is going and plan for the future. With support from experienced facilitators and coaches, you’ll explore what’s working well, where there may be opportunities to improve, and how you can build resilience across your business, your finances, your environment and your wellbeing, including preparing for a changing climate. You’ll come away with a practical plan to help guide your farm into the future.
About the Program
Farming comes with its share of uncertainty, from changing weather and drought to managing finances and planning for the future. The Farm Business Resilience 2 (FBR2) Program is here to help Tasmanian farmers build the knowledge, skills and confidence to navigate these challenges and strengthen their farm businesses for the long term.
Funded jointly by the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Tasmanian State Government, the program takes a whole-of-farm approach to resilience. It looks beyond productivity and profitability to consider the bigger picture, including your finances, the environment, your wellbeing and how you manage risk.
Delivered by the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA) in partnership with the TAS Farm Innovation Hub, this phase of the program runs from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2029. It’s an opportunity to take a step back, consider what lies ahead and develop practical strategies to help your farm business prepare for drought, manage uncertainty and build resilience for the future.
“The program helped us feel more focused, in control, and better equipped to deal with change.”
“Putting a clear plan in place gave us direction and structure for the business and for how we work and live”
“We’ve improved our systems, grown with confidence, and made time for what matters most, our family”
